Sport England study: Poorer children less active, despite upward trend overall

Good news comes from Sport England research which suggests that children’s activity levels are on the rise. Figures show an increase of 3.6% in the number of children in England doing an average of 60 minutes or more of physical activity each day.

However, statistics also show that poorer children are less prone to getting physical active, with only two in five children from low-income houses managing to keep up with 60 minutes/day of physical exercise.
