Last year, we encouraged you to have your say and share your great ideas about staying physically active in Leeds. We’ve heard from thousands of people who told us what changes in the city would make them become more active.
After working together with Leeds Beckett University, we are now happy to share the results of the study with you.
Councillor Rebecca Charlwood, Leeds City Council’s Executive Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adults, said:
“The Get Set Leeds research study has shown the high importance of physical activity in Leeds and people’s desire to stay active.
“We’ve worked together with Leeds Beckett University to examine the results to try to understand what would make and keep people in Leeds more active.
“This incredible insight represents a very important first step in our aim to make Leeds the most active city in the UK. As a city, we are committed to making the necessary changes to address the barriers that stay in people’s way and to make it easier for them to be active every day.”
