Loved  team sports at school but feeling a bit rusty these days? There’s loads of ways to play football,  including walking football and flexi drop-in sessions. Or join a football team for men with mental health issues.

Walking netball is also on offer in Leeds, with sessions available in Pudsey – or try Back to Netball, which encourages people back to the game after many years. For something a bit different, join a Roller Derby team or become a mermaid at Bramley Baths. Free tennis courts are available throughout the city, and a full programme of activities from beginner-level upwards is available through Active Leeds.

Cricket is a big deal in Leeds, with lots of local clubs as well as opportunities through Yorkshire Cricket including Wicketz for young people,  Hits & Missus for girls and women, and walking cricket.

Throughout the city there are opportunities to play rugby, basketball, and hockey. Or check out mixed ability sports which offer a chance for people of all ages and abilities to play together.
