Public Health England in partnership with BBC Get Inspired, Sport England, and London Sport launched a 9-week Couch to 5K challenge that encourages you to stay get active outdoors while keeping the social distance from people who are not living in your household.
One You Couch to 5K encourages even complete beginners to be more active in an easy and fun way. Members of the Get Set Leeds team have used the Couch to 5k App and are very pleased with how accessible and easy to use the app is. Starting slowly with running for just a minute at a time and combining it with brisk walks, the app helps you gradually become a fierce runner and makes it easier for you to run 30 minutes ongoing in the 9th week.
The app has now been updated with the latest advice on social distancing guidelines when exercising outdoors.
